Hello, I am a sliced basket. In my particular case, I have been accidentally cut, likely to have occurred when opening and unpacking rice sacks we are shipped in from Myanmar. Like shorty baskets, this should not jeopardise the longevity as we are tightly woven but we can't be 100% sure. However, a blob of strong fabric or super glue can be used to secure my cut strip in place if you like. I am still perfectly functional and beautiful :) Look closely at my pics. The ribbon indicates the damaged area.
Medium Passionfruit baskets are great for small to medium grocery shops, fresh produce, picnics, BBQs, and beach days. The perfect size for arts and crafts, knitting and every day activities. Medium baskets can hold up to 12kg.

Each Pāli basket is individually handwoven in a remote village in Myanmar, from new pallet strapping made from recycled plastics. Plastics are collected by locals from streets and beaches, recycled into pellets, then made into rolls of new strapping.
Our Passionfruit style uses bamboo in the base and rattan in the handles, purchased from local farmers.
The traditional Burmese weaving techniques have been passed down through generations. Every basket sold enables our ongoing support of the artisans, village families and local Burmese communities.
