Hello, I am a sliced basket. In my particular case, I have been accidentally cut, likely to have occurred when opening and unpacking rice sacks we are shipped in from Myanmar. Like shorty baskets, this should not jeopardise the longevity as we are tightly woven but we can't be 100% sure. However, a blob of strong fabric or super glue can be used to secure my cut strip in place if you like. I am still perfectly functional and beautiful :)

The Burmese traditional weaving methods have been passed down for generations.
Each Pāli basket is individually handwoven from a combination of new, reused and recycled pallet strapping.
Recycled materials are not always available but we are continually working on new ways to make this more achievable.
Baskets are fully recyclable at the end of their very long lives. Contact us for information on how to recycle correctly.
