XL Traditional baskets are great for larger grocery shops, fresh produce (particularly leafy greens :)), picnics, BBQs, and beach days. They are our recommended size for weekly market shopping. XL baskets can hold up to 14kg. Traditional baskets are like our Market baskets but with a frame and more structured, boxy shape.

Each Pāli basket is individually handwoven in a remote village in Myanmar, from new pallet strapping made from recycled plastics. Plastics are collected by locals from streets and beaches, recycled into pellets, then made into rolls of new strapping.

The traditional Burmese weaving techniques have been passed down through generations. Every basket sold enables our ongoing support of the artisans, village families and local Burmese communities.
