Hello, I am a sliced basket. In my particular case, I have been accidentally cut, likely to have occurred when opening and unpacking rice sacks we are shipped in from Myanmar. Like shorty baskets, this should not jeopardise the longevity as we are tightly woven. A blob of strong fabric or super glue can be used to secure my cut strip in place if you like. I am still perfectly functional and beautiful :)

Small baskets are a great every day handbag size. Perfect for popping to the shop for bread and milk, taking lunch and drink bottle to work or for every day essentials. Pali Baskets are super strong and durable. Small baskets can hold up to 6kg.

The Burmese traditional weaving methods have been passed down for generations.

Each Pāli basket is individually handwoven from a combination of new, reused and recycled pallet strapping. The base and handles are made from bamboo and rattan purchased from local farmers. Recycled materials are not always available but we are continually working on new ways to make this more achievable. 

Baskets are designed to last a long time and are fully recyclable at the end of their life when recycled correctly (see shipping & returns for details).
