Hello, I am a squished unravelled basket. This often happens in transport as I am the last basket of a row, at the bottom of a stack, squished into a corner or have a lot of weight on me. I am still extremely beautiful and functional. Love me as I am, or you are welcome to soak me in boiling water (I am fully waterproof) then stuff with towels to try bounce me back into shape a bit. Sometimes this works well or I may be quite stubborn. I hope you can appreciate my wonkiness as unique :) In my particular case, I am squished in one corner making me a bit wonky, and part of the tape around my handle has unravelled slightly.

The Burmese traditional weaving methods have been passed down for generations.

Each Pāli basket is individually handwoven from a combination of new, reused and recycled pallet strapping. KuuKuu baskets are woven with layered tape for extra strength and a bamboo base. Recycled materials are not always available but we are continually working on new ways to make this more achievable.

Baskets are designed to last a long time and are fully recyclable at the end of their life when recycled correctly (see shipping & returns for details).
