Hello, I am a holey basket. In my particular case, I have a hole where strapping ends all in one place. It is unsure how this happened - I look I've been burnt somehow. Like shorty baskets, this should not jeopardise the longevity as we are tightly woven but we can't be 100% sure. I am still perfectly functional and beautiful :)

Large KuuKuu baskets are perfect for grocery shops, fresh fruit and veg, picnics, BBQs and beach days. Perfect size for a laptop, paperwork, art projects, supplies and storage around the house. KuuKuu baskets are made with very sturdy handles, that soften over time. They are super strong and designed to last, holding up to 12kg in the large size.

The Burmese traditional weaving methods have been passed down for generations.

Each Pāli basket is individually handwoven from a combination of new, reused and recycled pallet strapping. The base and handles are made from bamboo and rattan purchased from local farmers. Recycled materials are not always available but we are continually working on new ways to make this more achievable.

Baskets are fully recyclable at the end of their life when recycled correctly (see shipping & returns for details).
